Doug believes fundraising is a critical form of advocacy and a tool for creating community and social and cultural change. Focusing on the roles relationship-building and communication play in successful fundraising, Doug has created and implemented successful development and donor communication campaigns that diversify income for diverse organizations. He is a coach and mentor to board and staff members and regularly leads training and courses on fundraising. He has served on many boards and was a member of the Selection Committee for the NYC Nonprofit Excellence Awards for several years.
